I am humbly serving as your pastor for another year after the elections held recently with the hope that we will again make progress toward the kingdom in our relationships with each other in our families, our church family and our communities in the coming year.
This summer has been a busy time with many people gone for various reasons so it was good Sunday to see so many at church and to feel like it is our church homecoming as we gather back together for a new church year.
I would like to thank all the people who have been so good about accepting responsibilities for the new year and pray that each of us will be able to contribute to a wonderful church year together.
We would like to again have aspects of worship, outreach, fellowship and service as part of the things we do together. If you have ideas for people that we can help with service projects, please let me know.
We are glad for the college students who are here for the year at Graceland University and we hope to they will feel like we are a church home away from home for them this year.
I am more and more convinced that we show we are the church of Jesus Christ if we are bearing fruits of the kingdom in our branch. Are we sharing in the spirit of God so that righteousness, peace and joy are evident in all we do? If there are times when this is not the case, I hope we will be able to improve in the coming year.
I would ask that you would keep our branch in your prayers that we will be able to be able to bring the rich ministry the Lord wants in the year ahead.
